Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will perform basic and advanced maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in industrial maintenance, particularly within food processing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including injection presses, conveyors, mixers, and packaging machinery.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, chillers, dryers, and compressed air systems.
- Support sanitation and food safety compliance through equipment upkeep.
- Document maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets operational and regulatory standards.
- Follow up on maintenance task for adequate resolution with key internal customers.
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (food industry preferred). The ideal candidate has >5 years of comparable industry maintenance experience
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, and pneumatics - required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals - required.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards - preferred.
- Trade school certification or technical training is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Climb ladders and ability to work at height
- Knowledge of OSHA/LOTO and ability to work in tight spaces.
- Push/Pull with force.
- Lift and move items >50 lbs.
