What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/Medical Assistant position at Target Optical in Lutz?
Growing optometry office looking for a part-time or full-time optometric technician or office receptionist/medical assistant. We are located inside the Target Optical in Lutz.
Experience in the field is highly preferred but not required.
Must be willing to learn and train on the job before officially starting. Must have good customer service skills and friendly personality
***Must be able to multitask and pay attention to details.
*8 hour work shift.
*Start at 9:30am and end at 5:30 pm on weekdays with 1 hr lunch. Weekend pays differential
**Duties include but not limit to:
- Scheduling, pulling insurance authorizations, and calling patients to confirm appointments.
- Pretesting the patients for the doctor(Autorefraction, retinal imaging, NCT, etc)
- Performing contact lens training with I&R (insertion and removal) as needed
- Taking payments and scanning files into electronic medical record.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
