Assistant Manager – Burlington Self‑Storage Facility (Part‑Time)
Location: Burlington, WA
Pay: $17.50/hour | Part-time | Hourly
Schedule: 2-3 days/week (Weekend availability required)
Reports To: Regional Manager / Area Manager
Position Summary
Our team is seeking a customer‑driven Part‑Time Assistant Manager to support daily operations at a self‑storage facility. In partnership with the Storage Manager, this role helps deliver exceptional service, maintain a clean and organized facility, and assist with leasing, collections, and administrative processes. The Assistant Manager serves as the on‑site leader in the Storage Manager’s absence.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys interacting with customers and taking on a dynamic role that combines sales, operations, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lease units, assist customers, and provide excellent service in person, by phone, and via email
- Process payments, follow up on delinquencies, and support occupancy and sales goals
- Prepare deposits, reports, petty cash, and maintain accurate tenant records
- Inspect the property, submit maintenance requests, and maintain a clean, safe facility
- Submit daily operational reports and assist with budgeting and tracking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Self‑storage or property management experience preferred, but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Dependable, well‑organized, and detail‑focused
- Availability to work scheduled weekends
Schedule and Pay
- Pay: $17.50/hour
- Part‑time: 2-3 days per week
- Weekend availability required
- Additional hours may be available to cover for the Storage Manager
- Accrue paid sick leave in compliance with Washington State law
