Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Henderson, NV. The Design Engineer will create and refine mechanical suspension components from concept through production, using CAD tools to develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting design calculations, collaborating with manufacturing to ensure parts are optimized for CNC machining, and supporting testing and validation activities, including track and rig tests. The role involves working closely with cross-functional team members to resolve design issues, improve existing products, and help develop new performance solutions. The Design Engineer will also assist with documentation, BOMs, and change control to maintain accurate and up-to-date product records.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to high-performance automotive components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and drafting, with experience creating production-ready drawings and assemblies.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles as they relate to vehicle systems, sensors, or integrated components is beneficial.
- Experience in Product Design, including concept development, prototyping, iteration, and design for manufacturability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, materials selection (including metals and high-performance alloys), and GD&T is preferred.
- Experience with motorsports, automotive performance parts, or suspension systems is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Henderson, NV, collaborate effectively in a small team environment, and manage multiple design projects concurrently.
