Lewisville Estates Senior Living Community is currently seeking Med Techs to cares for the residents under the direction and supervision of the Assisted Living Director.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or the Assisted Living Director.
- Caring for the residents as if they were an extension of your own family.
- Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, toileting).
- Assisting some residents with Ambulation and Transferring.
- Takes and records vital signs.
- Measures and records height and weight. Calculates and records fluid intake and output.
- Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
- Provides emotional and social support to residents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver required.
- Previous experience as a med tech required.
- Previous experience working with the Senior Living Community preferred.
- Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
