Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Children’s Chorus Conductor based in Rocky Mount, NC. The Conductor will be responsible for directing and rehearsing the children’s chorus, planning performances, selecting repertoire suited to various skill levels, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with the broader choral and orchestral society, supporting fundraising and community engagement initiatives, and ensuring the musical and personal development of choir members.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Music performance & Choral Conducting
- Proficiency in Music Education and working with children in an educational or instructional setting
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to motivate and inspire young singers
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music, Music Education, or a related field
- Previous experience in conducting children’s choirs or youth music ensembles
