Administrative Assistant / Office Manager

Taqueria Zorro Inc. is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Office Manager to support the daily administrative and operational functions of our growing restaurant and catering business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing systems, solving problems, coordinating multiple projects, and helping a business run efficiently behind the scenes. The Office Manager will work directly with ownership and play a key role in catering operations, labor tracking, vendor management, employee administration, and overall business organization.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Operations
• Maintain organized employee files, permits, vendor records, invoices, and company documentation
• Manage office systems and administrative workflows
• Assist ownership with reports, scheduling, and special projects
• Monitor email inquiries and respond professionally

Catering Coordination
• Maintain and update the catering calendar
• Confirm catering orders and delivery details with clients
• Coordinate kitchen production schedules for upcoming events
• Organize delivery logistics and event documentation
• Follow up with clients after events to gather feedback and encourage repeat business

Sales & Labor Reporting
• Enter and track daily sales and labor data
• Monitor labor percentages and staffing trends
• Prepare weekly operational reports
• Assist with payroll preparation and employee timekeeping review

Vendor & Cost Control
• Track vendor invoices and pricing
• Monitor food cost fluctuations and identify unusual increases
• Maintain organized purchasing records
• Assist ownership in controlling costs and improving profitability

Human Resources Support
• Schedule interviews and communicate with applicants
• Organize onboarding paperwork and employee documentation
• Assist with compliance and recordkeeping requirements
• Help maintain employee training and performance records

Qualifications

• 2 years of administrative, office management, operations, or restaurant management experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and email platforms
• Experience with payroll, scheduling, or bookkeeping is a plus
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required

Within the first 90 days, you will:
• Create an organized catering management system
• Improve office organization and documentation
• Produce weekly sales and labor reports
• Support hiring and onboarding processes
• Help ownership reduce administrative workload and improve operational efficiency
