Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Assist with hosting duties during peak hours to ensure efficient guest flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a server role within fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, enhancing your understanding of menu items and preparation methods.
