Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring each guest has a memorable dining experience. Prior experience in food service, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings, is highly valued. Candidates should be comfortable with POS systems and possess strong communication and multitasking skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, Square POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any special requests or concerns
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and general sanitation of the dining area before, during, and after shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; Billingual is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or Square POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; or serving experience is advantageous
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
