Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Handle restaurant reservation management using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and proper table assignments.
- Manage guest inquiries via phone communication with professionalism and friendly phone etiquette.
- Maintain organized restaurant flow by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating capacity.
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness in the host/hostess area and adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with clear and friendly interaction.
- Proficiency with restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Knowledge of restaurant safety practices and basic food handling procedures.
