Project Engineer
Long Island based supplier of condenser efficiency systems to the power generation industry seeks a Project Engineer to work from our Farmingdale, NY office.

Successful candidate must have:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or other suitable discipline)
· AutoCAD experience
· Ability to use complete Microsoft Office software package
· Electrical and mechanical equipment aptitude
· Ability to travel
· Project management/Organization skills
· Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn
· Detail-oriented mindset
The following attributes are a plus but not mandatory:
· Bi-lingual (German and/or Spanish, etc.)
· Prior power plant experience
· Electrical drawings and/or PLC program logic experience
· Pump sizing experience
· Electric and pneumatic actuator experience
· Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and/or ladder logic
· Proficiency in fluid dynamics
· Isometric drawings
· Machining and/or welding knowledge
Responsibilities include:
· Review project transfer data from Sales Department for each project
· Interface with company management regarding technical and commercial concerns related to execution of projects
· Prepare, coordinate, review and approve outgoing project engineering related and equipment drawings for issue to customer
· Establish project schedules
· Issue requests for quotations to suppliers/vendors/subcontractors for equipment/services required for the contract and negotiate terms and prices within budget
· Generate purchase orders or subcontracts to supplier/vendors/contractors to release manufacture/purchase of all required equipment/services upon receipt of customers’ approvals of drawings
· Maintain Project Document Status Lists and cost summaries
· Issue monthly status reports to customers (if/as required)
· Expedite orders/subcontracts
· Visit vendors and jobsites as appropriate/required
· Serve as project liaison with customer(s) and vendor(s)
· Write and issue Instruction, Operation and Maintenance Manuals
· Coordinate shipping of equipment including coordination and/or preparation of all required paperwork (packing lists, commercial invoices, etc.)
· Write and issue invoices
· Maintain communication with the Service Department regarding project startup, warranty issues, equipment design and performance and transfer assigned projects to the Service Department upon completion of respective contracts.
