job summary: Assembles beverage dispensing components and subassemblies using pneumatic or electrically powered tools while adhering to high safety and quality standards and consistently meeting production schedules. An Assembler I will be cross-trained in multiple work cells.
responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measures.
- Assembles and tests components per work instructions by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies with the use of tools, including pneumatic or electrically powered tools.
- Inspects parts to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Cleans assemblies to allow parts to fit up correctly.
- Packages finished products into boxes per work instructions and transports materials.
- Maintains a clean and organized work space by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Works in an assembly line or independently at an established pace, sustaining the pace over the full 8-hour work day.
- Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures and wears personnel protective equipment relevant to the assigned work area.
- Trains and works to gain additional expertise in order to progress to more complicated assembly roles.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred
- No prior experience or training required; electro-mechanical skills are helpful.
- Receives close supervision related to specific work activities, assignments, methods, etc; usually under frequent surveillance over job activities; instructions are detailed and assignments are typically short-term and repetitive.
- Ability to use pneumatic and electronically powered tools is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform simple calculations (ie-add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Good communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
