- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds
- Inspect lighting, HVAC units, plumbing, safety equipment, and other areas regularly
- Assist residents with minor repairs and moves
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, outdoor areas, and community vehicles
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs
- Ensure maintenance coverage for after-hours emergencies
- Prior experience in building maintenance (Assisted Living experience preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- Plumbing: commodes, fixtures, drains, heaters, dishwashers, ice machines
- HVAC: operation/mechanics of heat pumps, refrigeration systems
- Electrical systems: wiring, voltage, amperage
- Mechanics: design and operation of engines
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to communicate clearly, use sound judgment, and handle emergencies effectively
