Responsibilities
The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for loading and delivering legal loads of material to a destination in a safe and timely manner.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Driving/Operating Vehicle- Ability to drive a dump truck and truck and pup
- Transportation and Delivery of materials- Transporting crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations
- Administrative Tracking- Completing daily truck logs
- Safety- Willingness to observe all safety precautions while driving and delivering materials
- Upholding the Purpose Document of Tapani Inc. -Your actions and behaviors support Strong Teams and Successful Projects
Skills and Qualifications
As a Dump Truck Driver, you establish and continue to grow the following skills and qualifications:
Knowledge of operating a dump truck- Having a solid understanding of the vehicle and how it operates
Communication Skills- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with coworkers
Decision Making Skills- Ability to think quickly and adjust accordingly
- Some higher education or vocational training specializing in truck driving
- 1-2 years of experience driving in the construction industry
- Must have Class A CDL certification
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certification
- Ability to work overtime, occasional evenings, and weekends
