I am looking for a line cooks to work nights, 4-5 nights a week. Must have Monday and Sunday night availability. Paid training
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices are followed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Execute catering orders as needed, ensuring presentation and quality meet fine dining standards
- Utilize knife skills for meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Participate in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and tracking supplies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
- Familiarity with culinary concepts, including menu planning and catering services
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
