We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead our project teams and ensure successful delivery of projects. Lead engagement with Indigenous Nations and Indigenous-led organizations to advance equity in clean energy programs aligned with the NYS Climate Act. Serve as liaison, develop strategy, coordinate consultations, and support cultural competency initiatives.
📍 Location: Fully Remote (must reside in NYS)
⏰ Work Mode: Flexible office & remote
💼 Role: Senior Project Manager (Remote – NYS Residents Only)
Contract Length: 2 years
Pay Rate: $62–$70/hr.
Travel: 30–50% (Valid driver’s license required)
What You'll Do
Develop engagement strategy and consultation policy
Coordinate with state/federal Tribal Affairs offices
Organize and follow up on consultation meetings
Liaise with Indigenous Nations and NYSERDA teams
Support DEI training and internal communications
Maintain contact lists and related web content
What We’re Looking For
Deep knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and protocols
Experience in community engagement with marginalized groups
Strong writing, communication, and project management skills
Ability to synthesize technical info for diverse audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce, Confluence, Oracle/PeopleSoft
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with or on behalf of Indigenous communities in New York State (lived experience welcomed but not required)
Background in clean energy, climate planning, or policy innovation
Understanding of Indigenous wellbeing and related legislation
Bachelor’s (7–10 yrs exp) or Master’s (5–7 yrs exp) in relevant field
