Position Summary
- Works predominantly within established procedures
- Works as a team member to complete in vivo studies to assess cardiac function following pre-established protocols and IACUC guidelines
- Provides weekend support to team in animal monitoring, compound dosing, sample collection, and lab activities
- Collects, prepares, and distributes various tissues for in vitro analysis and biomarker evaluation (e.g., WB, ELISA, histology)
- May be required to breed and develop animal colonies
- Provides support in lab management (e.g., stocking and organization)
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of academic and/or industry experience
- Small animal handling experience, including dosing and blood collection by multiple routes
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills applied to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
