We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Production Equipment Support Supervisor to lead our on-site team in Edgewood, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment maintenance and production processes, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards within our facility.

💼 Role: Production Equipment Support Supervisor

What You'll Do

 Maintains our parts inventory for all equipment by providing a

complete list of parts to be ordered, including the vendor to be used

and the associated cost for each part

 Monitor records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment

and ensures that the maintenance occurs according to scheduled

deadlines

 Keeps informed of all new technology and equipment used by the

technical support and production operations departments.

 Fills in and assumes all Management responsibilities in the

Department Manager's absence

 Accountable to meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets on his/her shift

(i.e. labor costs, overtime, inventory control etc.)

• Monitors and improves machine efficiency.
• Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs all Technicians under direct report  Verifies all administrative work is filled out accurately, monitoring and following departmental procedures  Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individuals report  Span of control: approximately 15-20 direct reports, and all production equipment used by technical support and production operations  Position requires daily communication/ updates with senior management on strategic work scheduling issues  Monitors daily reports on thruput and equipment downtime giving feedback to department personnel
  
  

What We're Looking For

 Associate's Degree or Technical/Trade School

 5 years' experience and a proven proficiency in the operation and

repair of production equipment

 3 years' minimum supervisory experience in a high-volume production

environment, including: conducting performance reviews, leading by

example, encouraging teamwork

 A proven proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and

bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience is

Required

 Electrical and electronics repair is a plus

 Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ

 Experienced in Microsoft Office
