Facility Assistant

We're Hiring: Facility Assistant!

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated Facility Assistant to work alongside Scientists, Research Associates and Lab Manager. This role will provide exposure to a pre-clinical biotechnology lab that specializes in next-generation sequencing, cell engineering, antibody therapeutics discovery, and a cutting-edge single cell microfluidic platform. The candidate must work independently as well as demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving abilities.

Location: San Carlos, CA

Role: Facility Assistant

Schedule: Onsite| Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities Of Role

• Overseeing daily shipping and receiving activities
• Unpacking and labeling of incoming reagents and product
• Log and check in materials received into order management software systems
• Maintain, organize, and stock general lab consumable inventory weekly
• Greet and escort laboratory vendors for lab coats, chemical supply, and medical waste
• Maintain and change out chemical gas supplies within the laboratories
• Assist with equipment installations as needed
• Assist with lab expansion activities as needed
• Reorganize lab space for optimal use
• Maintain proper labeling on equipment assets
• Create and maintain product inventory maps on fridges and freezers
• Prepare lab spaces for equipment demos
• Assist with general lab cleanliness and organization
  
  

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of laboratory experience is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system is a plus
• Prior experience with shipping / receiving is a plus
• Must exhibit professionalism and ability to serve as greeter and escort for site vendors for deliveries and services
• Capable of multi-tasking and following standard operating procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds & operate a pallet jack
