Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and energetic Certified Lifeguards for the summer season at our outdoor pool. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests while monitoring all pool activities and responding quickly to emergencies.
Position Details
- Seasonal summer employment
- Shift work (depending on number of acceptable applicants)
- Outdoor pool hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Supervise swimmers and enforce pool safety rules
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR when necessary
- Conduct routine pool area inspections for safety and cleanliness
- Assist with opening and closing pool duties
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude with members and guests
- Report incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns to management
Requirements
- Current Lifeguard Certification
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Must be at least 16 years old (or as required by certification standards)
Preferred Qualities
- Previous lifeguarding experience
- Team-oriented and dependable
- Comfortable working independently during assigned shifts
