Nonviolence Works, Inc. / Taos Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated After-School CCSS Program Coordinator to lead our Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) After-School Program serving youth ages 7–14 with behavioral health needs.

This position is ideal for an individual with experience in human services, youth programming, and staff coordination who is passionate about creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children can build social, emotional, and life skills. The Program Coordinator will oversee daily program operations, coordinate community-based activities, supervise Community Support Workers (CSWs), and ensure compliance with New Mexico CCSS standards.

Position Summary

The After-School CCSS Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of a specialized after-school Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) program for youth ages 7–14 with qualifying behavioral health diagnoses. This position provides operational leadership by coordinating staff schedules, organizing therapeutic community outings, managing transportation logistics, monitoring program documentation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable CCSS regulations and agency policies.

Position Details

• Status: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
• Schedule: Four (4) days per week; work schedule determined by client and program needs.
• Administrative Time: Weekly hours include planning, scheduling, documentation review, and staff collaboration.
• Program Hours: Daily start time will coincide with participating students' school dismissal. The program concludes at 5:30 p.m. for parent or guardian pick-up.
• Location: Taos Behavioral Health – Canon Program Building
• Program Start Date: August 11, 2026

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of the After-School CCSS Program.
• Provide administrative guidance, coaching, and operational oversight to Community Support Workers (CSWs).
• Schedule and coordinate daily therapeutic, recreational, and community-based skill-building activities.
• Plan and organize safe community outings that support client treatment goals.
• Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure the safe transition of youth from school to the program facility.
• Develop weekly staff schedules and coordinate appropriate program coverage.
• Monitor client attendance and maintain accurate participation records.
• Ensure a structured, positive, and trauma-informed environment for participating youth.
• Review documentation, tracking forms, and program records for accuracy and readiness for internal reviews and state audits.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, families, schools, and community partners to support client success.
• Ensure program operations remain compliant with New Mexico CCSS standards, agency policies, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet one (1) of the following minimum qualifications:

Education

• Associate degree or higher in Human Services or a closely related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Human Development, Family Studies, or Behavioral Health from an accredited college or university.

OR

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing case management, community support services, behavioral health services, or similar services to children, adolescents, or families.

OR

Leadership Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising staff, coordinating programs, or leading human services teams.

Additionally, applicants must possess:

• Valid New Mexico driver's license (or ability to obtain one) with at least three (3) years of licensed driving experience and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass all required federal and state background checks.
• Ability to successfully complete any required pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to meet all New Mexico CCSS provider requirements, including successful completion of required CCSS training and certifications within agency-established timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Experience working with youth ages 7–14.
• Knowledge of New Mexico CCSS regulations and service delivery.
• Experience supervising Community Support Workers or behavioral health staff.
• Experience coordinating community-based behavioral health or after-school programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience implementing trauma-informed and strengths-based practices.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on education, qualifications, and relevant experience.
