Position Overview
The Warehouse and Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of warehouse logistics and product assembly functions. This role ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and established safety protocols. The Supervisor will lead a team of associates, coordinate workflow across departments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to warehouse and assembly personnel.
- Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and administer corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate production targets, safety updates, and operational priorities.
Warehouse Operations
- Manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Ensure accurate inventory control and timely replenishment of stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
Assembly Coordination
- Schedule and oversee assembly operations in alignment with production timelines.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality control benchmarks.
- Address technical issues and escalate concerns to appropriate departments.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement lean methodologies to optimize throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Document and refine workflows to support scalability and compliance.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce OSHA, EPA, and internal safety standards across all operational areas.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and lead incident investigations.
- Ensure proper training and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reporting and Documentation
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, defect rates, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain records related to equipment maintenance, safety audits, and employee training.
- Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
- Forklift certification and OSHA 10/30-hour training preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with variable temperatures.
