Technology Director Notice of Vacancy TANTASQUA REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Guidance Counselor 2026-2027 Start Date: August 31, 2026 REPORTS TO: Principal RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct support services to individual students, small groups, and classrooms. Serves as the school’s liaison for all guidance services, helping to coordinate programs and services in the best interest of students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •counsels students on an individual and group basis •assists students by preparing them academically, socially and emotionally for their role in society •assists students to develop the ability to make healthy decisions regarding personal, social, and academic choices •assists students with course selection and scheduling •monitors student progress •identifies pre-referral interventions for students •assists in the development of 504 plans, as needed •maintains student records and protects their confidentiality •completes guidance assessments •assists in the development of Individual Student Success Plans •participates in student evaluations and annual team meetings, attending teacher team meetings, as requested •promotes communication with and serves as a liaison for students, parents/guardians, staff and outside support services •collaborates with outside professional agencies and community resources •makes referrals for personal and educational support •files mandated reports •educates and promotes compliance with the anti-harassment policy •meets with building principal and staff to interpret test results from MCAS and other school assessments •works collaboratively with building administrators, regular and special education personnel for the purpose of servicing students’ needs •attends selected school functions as well as department meetings, as requested •performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS •Appropriate Massachusetts Department of Education certification •Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results SALARY RANGE: $57,005 - $60,304.00 Peter Dufresne, Principal Tantasqua Regional High School 319 Brookfield Rd.
