NOTICE OF VACANCY Integration Assistant WALES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 2025-2026 School Year Anticipated Start Date: Immediate
Reports to: Special Education Teacher and General Educators for consultation with whom he or she works for daily supervision and the building principal or their designee, for assignments and evaluations Responsibilities: Provides assistance to assigned students while working in and out of a variety of classrooms Essential Functions: * Works primarily with students with IEPs * Maintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and their records * Implements teacher/specialist developed lessons without direct supervision * Provides intervention and support for students in small and large groups, and in inclusion settings * Administers tests or assessments to individuals or small groups, as needed * Meets with teachers/specialists for curriculum discussions as requested * Meets with teachers and other specialists to discuss intervention strategies and student growth * Collects data to monitor progress on individual students * Works with children with a variety of disabilities * Carries out health and safety protocols * Ability to work with students who need academic and behavioral support * Ability to work with teachers in the collection of data * Implements teacher developed lessons without direct supervision * Performs other duties as assigned

- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy Qualifications/Education:
- The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required
- Evidence of ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily
- Post-secondary training and/or Associate's Degree required
- Experience in working within an educational setting preferred
- Five or more years' experience working with children with disabilities preferred
- Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results
