Duties

• Assist instructors and senior students with practical demonstrations of services such as makeup application, hair styling, eyelash extensions, and body waxing
• Support the salon team in maintaining sanitation standards and ensuring a clean, safe environment for clients and staff
• Engage with clients to provide excellent guest services, answer questions about treatments, and promote available services and products
• Help manage social media accounts by creating content, posting updates, and engaging with followers to boost academy visibility
• Conduct product demos and assist with retail sales by educating clients on skincare, haircare, and beauty products
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and managing client records using salon software like Millennium or MINDBODY
• Participate in training sessions on advanced treatments such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxin procedures, esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, and other med spa services

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients and team members
• Basic management skills to help coordinate daily activities within the academy setting
• Knowledge of salon software systems including Millennium or MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
• Experience or familiarity with social media management tools for marketing purposes
• Customer service-oriented mindset focused on creating positive guest experiences
• Understanding of sanitation protocols and safety standards across various beauty treatments
• Technical skills in cosmetology disciplines such as hair extensions, hair threading, nail care, makeup application, and straight razor shaving
• Familiarity with advanced procedures like dermal fillers, dermal laser treatments, tattooing techniques, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and deep tissue massage is a plus
• Ability to upsell products and services effectively while maintaining professionalism
• Flexibility to learn new skills including barbering techniques or med spa procedures as needed
