POSITION SUMMARY
The Health Services Director oversees resident care and develops care plans, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise, train and mentor care staff members on best practices for resident care, including safety protocols and emergency procedures, promoting continued professional development.
- Develop and implement resident care plans in collaboration with other care staff and family members.
- Oversee medication management and ensure proper administration by staff members.
- Collaborate with care staff, other departments, and healthcare providers addressing residents’ needs.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents’ needs and assist in adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Handle inquiries and concerns from residents and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to resident care.
- Stay informed about senior care advancements and implement relevant improvements.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for staff members, encouraging teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or related field. Licensure as a Registered Nurse(RN).
- Additional coursework or certifications in healthcare management, leadership, or administration may be beneficial.
- At least 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role or in a related healthcare management position.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with residents and staff through both verbal and written means.
- Proficient with electronic health record software.
- Proficient in various software programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Google, and adept with handheld devices and provided software.
- Strong understanding of state regulations and best practices in resident care.
- Leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documenting observations.
- Capability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations, with a pleasant demeanor.
- Problem-solving abilities to promptly address concerns or complaints, with the ability to quickly pivot from one task to the next.
- Maintain ongoing education and training, attending all departmental & in-staff services as required.
