Essential Job Responsibilities
- Administer standardized and non-standardized tests of cognitive functions.
- Score all tests administered and prepare an accurate summary of scores and behavioral observations.
- Maintain test equipment.
- Order supplies, equipment and forms as needed.
- Perform occasional administrative support tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science.
- Prior experience with neuropsychological testing preferred.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Performance Requirements:
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the capacity to evaluate and elicit cooperation from patients with cognitive, behavioral, and psychiatric problems.
- Highly motivated, organized, and with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills interacting with the other professional and administrative staff.
- Excellent observational skills and the ability to record those observations.
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
- Ability to project a pleasant and professional image.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
- Standard medical exam/office equipment, which may include computerized health information management system for medical records, etc.
- Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients.
