Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring precision and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills in CAD/CAM software, blueprint reading, and machine operation, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes and ensure the successful execution of complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and mill-turn equipment using Mastercam.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Utilize CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD to assist in designing parts and fixtures.
- Set up and optimize CNC machines including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines for production runs.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet precise tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine settings; perform adjustments as needed.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements.
- Ensure safety standards are followed during all machining operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of Mazak, Haas and Siemens controls.
- Proficiency in Mastercam, specifically programming for Mazak Integrex machines .
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and GD&T standards.
- Hands-on experience with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling setups, and schematics interpretation.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement.
