What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquarium Technician position at Tank Me Later?
We are a well-known aquarium and pond installation and maintenance service company seeking an experienced aquarist to join our team. Day-to-day tasks include driving to and from residential and commercial job sites servicing and maintaining aquariums, ponds, and water features. The ideal candidate has experience with saltwater and coral reef environments, and familiarity in all phases of aquarium equipment, including all types of life support systems used in our industry.
A typical workday begins at our facility between 5:00 and 8:00 AM. We work Monday – Friday, with some weekend and evening hours as needed to accommodate our clients' schedules and hours.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior fishkeeping experience
- Ability to creatively troubleshoot problems in the field
- Familiarity with basic aquarium concepts, filtration equipment, including all types of life support systems used in our industry
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and light construction
- Professional appearance and demeanor (you will be working in customers' homes and businesses)
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Must have clean driver’s license and be substance free

Competitive Salary based on experience. The more experience you have, the more compensation you can expect.
