Position Summary: The Coatings Dispatch Specialist (CDS) is responsible for the accurate tracking of direct and indirect time, scanning of parts, and communicating to the line what materials need to be loaded and when based off of the priority list driven by the schedule and Shift Lead. This is the most vital role of the Coating Line before becoming a Master Technician. The CDS will have to understand the importance of how to most effectively and efficiently load the line based on the run order provided by the Shift Lead, the specialist is essentially directing the traffic of the paint line while also directly impacting our costing and production schedule.

- Entering Parts into Computer
- Set Color Changes
- Set Line Gaps

Inform E-Room and Top Coat of Line Changes
- Color changes
- Thickness changes
- Breaks via gap and hang tag
- Clock Line into Epicor
- Accurate Tracking of Direct/Indirect Time
- Help Loaders when Needed
- Tracks FRW’s & SO’s
- Sets Up Run Order
- May perform other duties as assigned

Coatings Dispatch Specialist Skills and Specifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Epicor ERP.
- Strong computer data entry skills.
- Ability to safely operate a fork truck.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure first quality of work.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
- Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
Coatings Dispatch Specialist Education and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Coatings Dispatch Specialist Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Coatings Dispatch Specialist, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Coatings Dispatch Specialist Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Coatings Dispatch Specialist, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
