Thinning and Weeding General Labor

The Role: We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Thinning and Weeding Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and cultivation of crops by performing thinning and hoeing tasks, ensuring optimal growth and health of plants. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work efficiently in outdoor conditions, and a strong attention to detail.

Location: Salinas, CA

Areas of Responsibility:

• Perform thinning tasks by removing excess plants to promote healthy growth and proper spacing.
• Use hoes to remove weeds, ensuring that crops have enough space and nutrients.
• Follow all safety and operational guidelines while working with hand tools and farm equipment.
• Assist with other general farm tasks, such as planting, harvesting, or watering as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper tool storage.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily goals and ensure productivity.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in agricultural work or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different farm tasks as required.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stoop and pull plant with hand as needed.
