About the Opportunity
Our client is an innovative, venture-backed B2B SaaS company leveraging AI to transform the accounts receivable space. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help build and scale their outbound sales engine from the ground up.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their sales career who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys prospecting, and isn't afraid to pick up the phone. You'll work closely with company leadership and the sales team to develop messaging, identify target customers, and create repeatable outbound strategies.
What You'll Do
- Generate top-of-funnel pipeline through high-volume outbound prospecting, including approximately 300 cold calls per day using a power dialer.
- Supplement outreach with personalized email campaigns and LinkedIn engagement.
- Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers.
- Craft thoughtful, human, and tailored messaging that stands out from generic templates.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads before handing them off for product demonstrations.
- Collaborate directly with founders and Account Executives to refine messaging, ideal customer profiles (ICP), and outbound strategy.
- Help build and document the company's outbound playbook from scratch.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of professional experience (recent graduates and career changers from fields like banking or consulting are encouraged to apply).
- Interest in or experience with outbound sales, business development, or prospecting in a B2B environment.
- Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls as a primary responsibility.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create personalized outreach.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to independently build prospect lists and execute campaigns.
- Willing and able to work on-site six days per week in Union Square, New York City.
Preferred Background
- Exposure to outbound BDR/SDR work at a VC-backed B2B SaaS company is a plus.
- Familiarity with sales and prospecting tools such as power dialers, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms (HubSpot or Salesforce), and AI-assisted research tools is beneficial but not required.
Location: Onsite, Union Square, New York City, NY
Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $110,000–$120,000
