We’re seeking a driven and creative individual to join our engineering research and development (invention) start-up company. While prior experience is a plus, the most important qualities we’re looking for are enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. If you have a passion for creating cool stuff, a problem-solving attitude, and thrive in organized chaos, this is the opportunity for you!
NOTE: This is an IN-PERSON position in Mantua, Utah--30 minutes from Logan, 15 minutes from Brigham City. Please do not apply if you do not or will not live close enough for the position.
Responsibilities
An inventor joining our team will be expected to:
Engineer and troubleshoot products designed and developed by TanTec following our "move fast and break things" philosophy. This isn’t a desk job. We expect you to digitally and physically make things.
Take ownership of individual inventions we have in the works and push them through design, prototyping, testing, and perfecting. While you would be taking point on these projects, other engineers on our team will be on hand to give feedback and assistance, making these inventions a team effort.
In the same vein, you would be responsible for giving feedback and assistance on projects that have not explicitly been assigned to you.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other applicable field
Proficient with CAD software
