The Taney County Health Department is a thriving Local Public Health Department located in Branson and Forsyth Missouri. TCHD is committed to the community and to its employees. The Taney County Health Department will be accepting resumes for a full time, 40 hour per week, non-exempt Nutritionist for the WIC Program. Duties include providing nutrition and breastfeeding education to WIC eligible participants, assess participants nutritional needs for certification eligibility, help to determine eligibility of WIC participants by performing income assessment and obtaining and entering participant information, grant management, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal applicant would be a team player, have excellent customer service, and can make our values a top priority.
The candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economic, or closely related field; including or supplemented by at least fifteen (15) semester hours in food and nutrition including diet therapy and community nutrition. WIC experience and a Certified Lactation Counselor certification or IBCLC is preferred, however not required.
TCHD provides a comprehensive benefits package which includes paid vacation (80 hours), holidays (10 Holidays and 3 Floating Holidays), and sick time (96 hours); LAGERS Retirement system (currently contributing 18 %) and 100% Paid Health Insurance for the employee.
