About the Opportunity:Shift: Days or EveningsSchedule: Monday to FridayHours: 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pmSetting: Correctional FacilityResponsibilities:Conduct initial health assessments and daily sick calls for incarcerated individualsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by facility healthcare providersRespond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and basic life support as neededMonitor and manage chronic health conditionsCollaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to coordinate patient careMaintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility policiesParticipate in intake screening and assessment of newly incarcerated individualsEnsure compliance with Department of Health and correctional healthcare standardsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseSolid assessment and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
