Azure Cloud Engineer

A Leading retail company in Orlando, FL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and network security, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

• Contract to Hire.
• Hybrid: 1 day a week on-site expectation
• Location: Orlando, FL
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, gateways, and API gateways.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
• Automate cloud operations and deployments using Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Configure and secure VPNs, SD-WAN/LAN, and network appliances including Meraki and Palo Alto.
• Implement and manage ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) and CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) solutions.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable cloud architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and network issues.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Gateways and API Gateway configurations.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Chef, or Puppet for automation and configuration management.
• Deep understanding of network security, VPN technologies, and SD-WAN/LAN architectures.
• Experience with Meraki and Palo Alto (including Strata Cloud).
• Familiarity with ZTNA and CASB implementations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
