A New Jersey-based health services network is looking to add a new AWS Engineer to their team on a contract basis.Responsibilities:Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure, applications and platformsDesigning cloud native services deployment patterns with strong emphasis on performance, high availability and resiliencyPerforming POC/POV to select right cloud services, platforms, and tools for business applicationsCreating cloud-focused governance, standards, building blocks, and patternsImplementing and managing cloud security practices, including IAM roles, security groups, encryption, and compliance to protect PHI/PII dataDeveloping automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) for efficient resource provisioning and deployment with strong emphasis on end-to-end automation and self-service modelDevelop FiNops practice focusing on standardization, cost optimization, and show back modelProviding technical expertise and guidance to other teamsAct as a point of escalation or troubleshooting & resolving technical issuesQualifications:5 years of experience as Senior Cloud Engineer and/or in a similar roleHigh School Diploma / GEDCertification in one or more cloud platforms AWS, Azure, and GCPStrong technical skills in Cloud ComputingProficiency in AWS cloud platformsExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift Container platform)Hands on experience working on service mesh (Istio, consul, Linkerd), CNI, Observability, DevSecOps tools.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).Experience with networking fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, TCP, UDP, DNS, Load Balancing).Experience programming in one or more languages - python, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, Powershell, bash.Strong experience in cloud foundation, landing zone, SAS integration modelDesired Skills:Bachelor's and/or Master's DegreeAzure & GCP Cloud platform knowledgesExperience with DevOps practiceExperience with CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Automation and orchestration tools(Jenkins, Groovy, Bitbucket)Experience with Cloud security principles and best practicesExperience with Security frameworks and Compliance standards (SOC 1/2 , HIPAA, HiTrust, CSI, NIST)
