A New York City-based healthcare company is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an ICF group home in Queens. This part-time overnight role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing nursing oversight, medication administration, and direct health monitoring in a residential setting.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Overnight
Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Hours: 7pm to 7am
Setting: ICF Group Home
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in daily personal care, hygiene, ADLs, incontinence care, and environmental cleanliness
- Support mealtime supervision and feeding protocols while following nutritional and medical guidelines
- Administer medications and provide ordered treatments, including G-tube feedings, wound care, urinary drainage maintenance, glucose monitoring, and range of motion therapy
- Monitor resident health by obtaining vital signs, tracking weight, and reporting medical findings to the RN Supervisor and other providers as needed
- Document care, communicate concerns with families and clinical staff, maintain infection control, and help ensure a safe, compliant residence
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- AHA CPR certification or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to communicate tactfully with personnel, people supported, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
- Ability to implement the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the residential nursing services department
