A well-known hospital New York City is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their Radiology team in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week including weekends
- Hours: 8am to 4pm
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that use instruments to treat conditions in the body.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment
- Administer contrast dyes
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty and stenting
- A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH (can be obtained after the offer)
Eligible Advanced Certifications from ARRT include the following:
- ARRT (CI) - Cardiac Interventional Radiology
- ARRT (CV) - Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology
- ARRT (VI) - Vascular Interventional Radiology
- Associate's Degree from a Radiologic Technology program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
