About the Opportunity:
This role partners closely with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to deliver complex, high-visibility communications, campaigns, and initiatives. The Communications Strategist plays a key role in executive messaging, storytelling, crisis communications, and large-scale internal campaigns.
- Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid to Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL, also open to Remote
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Corporate / Enterprise Communications
- Etc.: Hybrid role with 2-3 days per week onsite at headquarters in Vienna, VA
Responsibilities:
The Communications Strategist will be responsible for:
- Developing cohesive communication strategies for major initiatives to ensure effective, timely delivery
- Consulting and collaborating with clients and stakeholders across the organization to plan, compose, design, produce, and distribute a wide range of communications
- Researching, writing, and supporting the development of executive talking points, scripts, emails, and speeches while maintaining each leader's unique voice
- Creating communication plans to align project and campaign deliverables across the organization
- Providing creative solutions for high-level internal campaigns, strategies, and initiatives
- Delivering editorial and consultative support to ensure content accuracy, consistency, tone, and brand standards
- Analyzing Adobe Analytics metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communications and recommend improvements
- Tailoring messaging by channel and strategic objective
- Providing input and recommendations for communications initiatives
- Leading large-scale, complex communications projects
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Significant experience developing and executing large- and small-scale communications campaigns
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- Expert copy writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills across print and digital platforms
- Expert written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated executive maturity and ability to work effectively with senior leaders
- Working knowledge of change management principles and practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Expert knowledge of project lifecycles, project management methodologies, and business requirements analysis
- Strong research, analytics, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with word processing, presentation, project management, and spreadsheet tools
- Demonstrated ability to influence, guide, and lead others toward shared goals
- Effective relationship-building and presentation skills

- Experience serving as a speechwriter for senior or executive-level leaders
