SEO Content Editor

Tandem Interactive is seeking an experienced and passionate SEO Content Editor to join our team. The SEO Content Editor will be responsible for reviewing, editing, revising, and/or recommending the necessary optimization adjustments for all SEO developed content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality, relevance, and effectiveness. This role will involve balancing the technical aspects of SEO optimization with the creative requirements of crafting engaging content tailored to our diverse client needs.

This position is a FULL-TIME IN OFFICE role at our Downtown Fort Lauderdale location, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Salary Range: Starting at $60,000.00 (Negotiable based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

CONTENT QUALITY REVIEW

• Conducting thorough reviews of all agency-produced content, including SEO-focused content, blog posts, website copy, product descriptions, and other digital assets.
• Ensuring grammatical accuracy, clarity, and stylistic consistency across all client deliverables.
• Verifying content’s relevance to target keywords and alignment with audience interests.
• Maintaining a consistent brand voice and messaging tailored to each client’s guidelines.
• Collaborating with SEO Strategist, Content Specialists, and account managers to ensure content is aligned with client-specific SEO goals and broader marketing objectives.
• Adapting editing approaches to suit the unique tone, style, and needs of clients or brands when necessary.
• Providing constructive feedback to writers or team leads, offering suggestions to enhance content quality and SEO performance.

SEO OPTIMIZATION

• Reviewing optimized title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and body text to ensure content performance in search engine rankings, providing recommendations when necessary.
• Assessing SEO optimizations to ensure content is aligned with best practices and provide recommendations when necessary.
• Staying informed about the latest SEO developments, algorithm updates, and best practices outlined by search engines like Google.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

WRITING AND EDITING PROFICIENCY

• Exceptional command of grammar, punctuation, and writing mechanics.
• Ability to craft and refine clear, concise, and engaging content.

SEO KNOWLEDGE

• In-depth understanding of keyword research, on-page optimization, and search engine algorithms.
• Familiarity with technical SEO concepts and their application in content.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leaders to ensure alignment on content goals.
• Strong presentation and communication skills to explain editorial decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of professional editing experience
• 1-2 years of digital marketing and SEO specific editing.
• Experience editing content for clients across diverse industries.
• Strong research skills that will support ethical creation of content, including proper use of AI tools to ensure originality and prevent any possibility of plagiarism.
• Experience leveraging large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or similar AI tools to identify and support ethical and effective content creation.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Asana or ClickUp is preferred.
• Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
