Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Groundskeeper/Porter for our Beaverton off Barnes Road and HW 26 and Tualatin locations to maintain the beauty and safety of our residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for landscape maintenance, general upkeep, and ensuring the outdoor areas remain inviting and well-kept. Weekend work may be required and tats must be covered while at work. Uniforms are provided, as well as gloves to cover tats. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for our residents and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are always neat and free of litter.
• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
• Changes all locks in accordance with the property’s policy and ensure gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Informs appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests, and others.
• Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services.
• Complies with TPM’s safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the property’s routine safety meetings, completing required training on other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
• Wear required uniform and maintain an appropriate appearance.
• The functions below are required CONSTANTLY (66% – 100% of the time):
• Standing and walking bending/stooping/squatting lifting 10-25 lbs. pushing and pulling, grasping, and gripping, reaching above shoulder.
• The functions below are required FREQUENTLY (33%-66% of the time):
• Lifting 26-50 lbs., climbing stairs, ladder, coordination of hand/eye/foot.
• The functions below are required OCCASIONALLY (10% – 33% of the time):
• Lifting 51-75 lbs., finger dexterity.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
