Maintenance Lead/Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

In this position reporting to the Facility and Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Lead/Engineer will be responsible for routine corrective equipment repair, general preventative maintenance work and providing direct back up support to the Maintenance and Facility manager. In this position you may be required to support other areas of the plant as needed.

• Once qualified, willing to become part of the off-hours service team rotation
• Ability to perform routine and non-routine preventative maintenance functions per schedule or as directed
• Accepts other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING/EXPERIENCES (Preferred)

• Two-year degree in Facility Management, Construction Management or Facility Engineering with 2-3 yrs of industry experience or 5-7 yrs. of industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Background in Industrial Maintenance
• Fluid processing equipment, building systems, lathes, mills, saws and presses
• Boiler Operators License would be beneficial
• Working knowledge of motor circuitry and hydraulics
• Ability to trace and diagnose problems using electrical schematics
• Ability to trace and diagnose hydraulic fluid circuits
• Welding skills (MIG) and oxy-acetylene cutting and heating
• Working knowledge of Microsoft systems (excel, word, outlook…)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exposures to low levels of chemical fumes and dust
• Life up to 50 lbs
• Bending, twisting, kneeling
• Extended periods of walking or standing

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
