A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Insulin Pump Processing Specialist is formally referred to internally as a Customer Sales Support Specialist (Processor). This role is responsible for processing direct patient orders by phone, email, and/or fax regarding their order as they enter the pipeline. This role also ensures orders are processed in a timely manner by reviewing documents, requesting authorizations through health plans, and reaching out to patients to communicate insurance verifications and collect payment for their order.
- Documents all interactions and calls into the customer relationship management (CRM) system in accordance with QA/RA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintains active communication by responding to inquiries from customers, distributors, HCPs, and sales force regarding orders and shipment schedules
- Interacts with field sales team to resolve customer issues.
- Proactively communicating backorders/delivery dates to the customer and processing customer orders to completion
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Providing excellent customer service while processing orders efficiently and effectively
- Effectively communicating verbally and in written form
- Adapting to change and managing multiple priorities
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Knowledge of diabetes preferred
- Knowledge of ERP & customer relationship management (CRM) systems preferred
- Knowledge of medical device industry and DME insurance practices preferred
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- 1 year of strong customer service or call-center experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Medical terminology training and experience in medical or insurance field preferred.
