The Production Assistant position is responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the production facility running efficiently. The production assistant requires use of machinery like mixers, ovens, dough formers, and the use of knives. This position is a part-time position, Wednesday through Saturday from 7am to 3pm. Pay for Production Assistant starts at $16.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and adhering to food safety standards and regulations
- Ensure timely arrival and consistent attendance to shifts beginning at 7AM
- Selecting bagels for cafes that meet our quality standards with high accuracy
- Lifting 50# of product (flour, eggs, cream cheese) at a time. Cutting and lifting dough ranging from 20#-40# out of a mixing bowl
- Understanding of and ability to follow a metric recipes for a variety of pastries, granola and other seed mixes
- Scaling, mixing, scooping cream cheese production that meet our quality standards with high accuracy
- Prepping produce for the cafe and following recipes for prep salads
- Use of large bakery (ovens, mixers, slicers) equipment safely after training
- This job requires standing for long periods of time
- End of shift cleaning tasks that meet our facility standards daily
