Supports warehouse operations, campus mail services, inventory control, and asset tracking while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and efficient distribution of materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming freight, packages, and mail. Distributes packages, purchased goods, and mail across campus. Maintains logs and records of received shipments and deliveries. Enters and tracks receiving data in the university’s financial/asset system (e.g., FAMIS). Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing campus and U.S. mail. Operates and maintains postage equipment; processes bulk mailings. Assists with inventory control procedures, including stocking, organizing, and tracking goods. Supports asset management processes, including documentation of transfers and deliveries. Coordinates or performs forklift operations for loading, unloading, and transport. Maintains warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Communicates relevant procedures and updates to team members as needed. May assist in training staff or coordinating daily warehouse activities. Delivers bulk mail to local postal facilities as required. Orders and maintains necessary supplies for warehouse and mail operations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Two (2) years of related experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with inventory or asset management systems (e.g., FAMIS) Three (3) or more years of related experience Experience in mail services or campus distribution environments Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Other Requirements Must have a State of Texas or Arkansas class "C" vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Acceptable driving recordKnowledge of warehouse operations Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Basic computer and data entry skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate effectively and follow procedures Physical Requirements Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work in hot and/or cold warehouse conditions without climate control.
