Position Information We are seeking a Financial Accountant I, who under direction, provides clerical and basic accounting support for fleet financial operations under close supervision. Responsibilities: Performs clerical, accounting and customer service support duties in a specialized field within Administrative Services of Texas A&M AgriLife for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Performs routine data entry into fleet and financial systems (FAMIS, AggieBuy, Canopy, FAMISWeb, VCA, Laserfiche, TX Fleet Mgmt. System, etc.) Assists with vehicle records, documentation, and processing Supports basic audits by verifying data accuracy Provides customer service support and responds to routine inquiries (scheduling fleet pool vehicles, etc.) Assists with purchasing documentation and administrative tasks Supports vehicle coordination activities (titles, plates, fuel cards, pickups) May require occasionally driving various vehicles Serves as back up for Texas A&M Research vehicle data entry Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years of experience with High School diploma or 2 years of experience with an Associates Degree). Preferred Qualifications: Accounting experience in a business office. Property or Fleet Management experience especially within the Texas A&M University System. Additional Requirements: Ability to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
