What We Want The Athletic Assistant is responsible for the direct supervision and administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team. Ability to work flexible hours (nights, weekend and holidays) as required to complete assigned duties. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: High school coaching experience. Collegiate coaching experience. Professional dance experience. Choreography experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General knowledge of NCAA rules. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Responsibilities ADMINISTRATIVE: Direct administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team. FUND RAISING: Direct and organize fund raising activities POST SEASON: Supervise out of town team travel to post season basketball tournaments for SEC and NCAA competitions. TRY OUTS: Supervise team try-outs and team selection process. SUPERVISE: Attend morning/weekend practices, workouts and dance team performances at home athletic contests. COMPLIANCE: Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised. Why Texas A&M University?
