Provides service as a learning and curricular support specialist for a designated Texas A&M College or School. Collaborates with other learning and curricular support specialists to further the educational mission of the libraries and serviced departments. Special requirements Must have working knowledge, as demonstrated through the candidate’s interview presentation, of the following: STEM databases, including IEEE, ASTM, Compendex, and Web of Science; procuring and teaching engineering standards and patents; information literacy and pedagogy; and designing, publishing, and maintaining topic and instructional LibGuides. Job duties: Provide Learning & Curricular Support, including participate in the development of library programs focused on enhancing student success through information literacy, pedagogy, critical thinking, and curricular support; provide teaching services, including procuring and teaching engineering standards and patents, to library instruction programs which include course-integrated literacy instruction, assignment redesign, assessment, and online education; design, publish, and maintain topic and instructional LibGuides; participate in assessment programming, measuring instructional outcomes, and promoting integration of library instruction into course curriculum; aid in the implementation of Library policies and procedures related to teaching, learning, and student engagement; and participate in special projects related to curricular integration of library materials, programs, and services. Engage in College/School Relations, including provide service as a learning and curricular support specialist for a designated Texas A&M College or School using STEM databases, including IEEE, ASTM, Compendex, and Web of Science; and collaborate with other learning and curricular support specialists to further the educational mission of the Libraries and serviced departments. Collaborate and Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings and activities as a learning and curricular support specialist in the Learning & Engagement Department; collaborate with colleagues on design, delivery, assessment, and promotion of library programs that support information literacy, learning theory, and student success; and aid in the improvement of the Libraries’ instruction program focusing on curricular integration of information literacy. Contribute to the Profession, including participate in scholarly activities and professional service for professional development and incorporation of new ideas and technologies into library services and programs; serve on campus and library committees; and engage with campus units to advocate for Library presence in campus and student success initiatives.
