Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering recommendations when appropriate
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest needs are met throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns professionally
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting tables for new guests
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed in a hospitality-focused environment
- Support guest relations by providing excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and managing guest inquiries or complaints effectively
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food handling and serving
- Experience with food preparation, bussing, hosting/host duties, or guest relations is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
