Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring precise food and drink requests
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using POS systems; process payments with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery in a fine dining or nightclub setting
- Assist with food handling, basic math calculations for bills, and food preparation when needed to support overall restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience in upselling, sales techniques, or OpenTable reservations management is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and inventory management
- Prior experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles will be considered valuable
